Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Manager to join our team at Air Canada. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving the digital transformation of our cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the continuous improvement of operational processes through automation, digitization, and digitalization
Research and monitor technology advancements in the air cargo industry to identify new business solutions
Represent Cargo Ops at industry events related to technology, digitalization, and automation
Analyze the internal environment and identify improvement opportunities
Develop and manage a pipeline of innovative ideas to drive market leadership
Develop and communicate the long-term vision for Operations' Digital Transformation
Interpret operational and commercial needs, prepare supporting business cases, and present to various levels of the organization
Translate business requirements into technical requirements and work closely with IT throughout the development of applications
Liaise with key stakeholders to prioritize and manage new digital initiatives in alignment with corporate objectives
Collaborate with operational and process engineering teams to review, assess, and provide guidance on innovative digital solutions
Build business relationships with key partners to implement innovative solutions that increase operational efficiencies, customer service, and regulatory compliance
Represent the business during the development life cycle and ongoing enhancements of key operational systems
Follow a mix of scrum and waterfall methodologies to effectively manage several digital initiatives concurrently

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Commerce, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields
Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is an asset
5+ years of experience in the Transportation/Aerospace industry, with knowledge of IATA standards an asset
5+ years of experience in Information Systems Management or Digital Technologies
2+ years of experience in Vendor/Partner Management
Experience in Process and Change Management, Project Management Experience, PMP is an asset
Experience managing teams
Effective problem-solving and collaboration skills with highly developed interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
