About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Roechling Industrial Orangeville. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Measure and lay out work pieces to prepare for assembly, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet production needs.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
