Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Operations Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences. As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations and ensuring timely delivery of packages.

Key Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging their team during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. This includes:



  • SUPPORTING AND MENTORING SALARIED AND HOURLY WORKFORCE
  • LEADING LARGE-SCOPE PROJECTS WITH SITE AND REGIONAL IMPACT
  • BUILDING AND EXECUTING PRODUCTIVITY PLANS THROUGH FORECAST REVIEWS, DETERMINING PRODUCTIVITY REQUIREMENTS, AND PARTNERING WITH OTHER LEADERS TO LOAD BALANCE
  • MANAGING SAFETY, QUALITY, PRODUCTIVITY, AND CUSTOMER DELIVERY PROMISES
  • COLLABORATING WITH ALL SUPPORT TEAMS INCLUDING SAFETY, ENGINEERING, LOSS PREVENTION, QUALITY ASSURANCE, HUMAN RESOURCES TO DEVELOP PLANS TO MEET BUSINESS OBJECTIVES
  • LIFTING UP TO 49 POUNDS AND FREQUENTLY PUSHING, PULLING, SQUATTING, BENDING, AND REACHING
  • STANDING/WALKING FOR UP TO 12 HOURS DURING SHIFTS
  • WORKING IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE NOISE LEVEL VARIIES AND CAN BE LOUD
  • WORKING IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS SUBJECT TO VARIABLE TEMPERATURES AND WEATHER (DELIVERY STATIONS INCLUDE OUTSIDE LOADING DEPARTMENTS)
  • CONTINUOUSLY CLIMBING AND DESCENDING STAIRS (APPLIES TO SITES WITH STAIRS)


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • 3+ YEARS OF EMPLOYEE AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
  • BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT, OR 2+ YEARS OF AMAZON (BLUE BADGE/FTE) EXPERIENCE
  • ABILITY TO WORK A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE/SHIFT/WORK AREA, INCLUDING WEEKENDS, NIGHTS, AND/OR HOLIDAYS
  • 1+ YEARS OF PERFORMANCE METRICS, PROCESS IMPROVEMENT, OR LEAN TECHNIQUES EXPERIENCE


Salary:


$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
