Responsibilities
- Support clients with financial advisory services involving the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of financial data, key performance indicators, and metrics.
- Conduct business analysis and identify improvements of current state: accounting processes and procedures, reporting, data quality, system tools, asset training, and internal controls.
- Develop financial models for various applications, such as cash flow forecasting, budgeting, raising capital, and valuations.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients by working with various accounting and administrative personnel to support the delivery of advisory services.
- Develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services and clientele through experiential learning with clients.
- Network and support the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities.
Skills and Experience
- Currently pursuing or intending to pursue a CPA designation.
- Completion of a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
- Experience with financial statement modeling is considered an asset.
- Experience working with accounting and tax software (such as QuickBooks and Xero) is considered an asset.
- Travel may be required.
