At Crystal Consulting Inc., we are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Your expertise in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials will be essential in building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. Additionally, you will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, while maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Requirements:

  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: An asset
  • Language: English
  • Work hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
