We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at BE Power Equipment. Reporting to the Production Manager, this position will be responsible for coordinating production teams and ensuring quality control and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production teams, including the daily organization of crew tasks.
- Train new employees in role-specific tasks and ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Conduct ongoing safety training and hazard assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Demonstrate and initiate continuous improvement activities and work habits to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Be the first point of contact for employee concerns and needs and redirect as needed.
- Perform assembly line production tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Experience in production assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Leadership experience at a working lead hand level.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to train, mentor, and coach others.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including safety and quality standards.
Other Requirements:
- Physical fitness, energy, and self-motivation.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- A safety-first mindset and understanding of the importance of upholding safety standards.
- Comfortable using computers and navigating systems efficiently.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) and manufacturing concepts.
