About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Broadview Nursing Centre. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities: Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom.
  • Provide personal care: Assist with feeding, transferring, and positioning residents.
  • Support with mobility and transfers: Help residents walk, transfer from bed to chair, and use mobility aids.
  • Administer medications: Assist with administering medications as directed by the nurse.
  • Monitor vital signs: Take residents' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with daily routines: Help residents with daily routines such as making their bed, maintaining their room, and participating in activities.
  • Communicate effectively: Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Document care: Accurately document resident care and any changes in their condition.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged.
