Job Summary

The Athletic Trainer - Clinical Services Specialist will provide clinical services to patients, including rooming and vitals, gathering detailed history, conducting reviews of systems, and documenting in electronic medical records. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and be licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the state of employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical services, including rooming and vitals, gathering detailed history, conducting reviews of systems, and documenting in electronic medical records.
  • Coordinates care with other medical providers, including physicians, physical therapists, and qualified rehabilitation consultants.
  • Communicates with physicians and other clinical team members to organize and prioritize work to maximize appropriateness, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care.
  • Utilizes Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Casting/Splinting, including applying and removing casts and splints, and giving patients instructions on care of their casts or splints.
  • Provides injury prevention and coordination to student athletes, including providing support and care through attendance at practices and games, coordinating clinical access of the injured athlete, and supervising the conditioning and/or rehabilitation of the student athlete.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required.
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of employment required.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer - Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer required.
  • Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) required.
