About the Role

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax, and business advisory firm in Canada. We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our External Financial Advisory (EFA) team.

As a Financial Analyst, you will provide a range of services to small and mid-sized companies, including bookkeeping, financial modeling, and fractional CFO services. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop effective solutions to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients with financial advisory services, including financial data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
  • Conduct business analysis and identify improvements in accounting processes, reporting, data quality, and system tools.
  • Develop financial models for cash flow forecasting, budgeting, raising capital, and valuations.
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients and internal teams to support the delivery of advisory services.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services and clientele through experiential learning with clients.
  • Network and support the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and identifying new business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or intending to pursue a CPA designation.
  • Completion of a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • Experience with financial statement modeling is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software, such as QuickBooks and Xero, is considered an asset.
  • Travel may be required.
