Painter and Decorator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at TDOT BUILDERS GROUP LTD.

  • As a Painter and Decorator, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes.
  • You will also measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, and erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
  • Additionally, you will apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, and have experience with equipment and machinery such as brush painting and roller painting.
  • Our ideal candidate will have experience with surface preparation, including drywall taping/patching, and will be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • We are looking for a reliable and team-oriented individual who is a good communicator and has initiative, client focus, and personal suitability.
