Job Title: Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Bay Truck Stop. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, and clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Handling and Reporting Lost and Found Items: Handle and report lost and found items to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Trash and Recycling: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all recyclables are properly sorted and disposed of.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances and make adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems as needed.
  • Groundskeeping: Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate or diploma required; experience an asset.
