What You'll Do
As a Product Designer at Geotab, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading research, ideation, and creation of application interactions
* Partnering with UX Research, Product Management, Development, and Data Science Team members during design and development to take broad conceptual ideas, understand user needs, and lead the design process into actionable designs and prototypes
* Mapping out user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for user testing, feedback, and deployment
* Diving deep into Customer/User experience to develop deep insights about user behaviors
* Conducting interviews, and collecting feedback from end users and subject matter experts
* Working with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll-out products that deliver on the Geotab vision and strategy
* Using Design Principles, as well as existing visual frameworks to produce designs that are visually cohesive with the rest of Geotab's products
* Designing web applications using industry best practices and existing visual frameworks
* Tracking design features and fixes from different subject matter experts
* Maintaining compliance with AODA guidelines for site accessibility
* Conducting concept and usability testing and gathering feedback
* Creating personas through user research and data
* Defining the right interaction model and evaluating its success
* Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
* Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
* Building page navigation buttons and search fields
* Conducting layout adjustments based on user feedback
