Job Title: Engineering Technologist II - Environmental

Halifax Water is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technologist II - Environmental to join our Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) team in the Regulatory Compliance Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality water services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical duties related to water, wastewater, and stormwater services, including administering customer education programs and undertaking environmental investigations, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure customer compliance with Halifax Water's Regulations and provide technical support to customers as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address environmental concerns and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
Requirements:
  • A technical diploma in engineering sciences or a related field with an emphasis on environmental sciences, underground infrastructure management, and municipal servicing.
  • Five years' experience in municipal or environmental engineering, with a strong background in water services and environmental regulations.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation with TechNova or eligible for membership.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various locations as required.
