Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Midas - Duncan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Review work orders
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Manual dexterity
  • Standing for extended periods
Work Environment:

Our workshop is a fast-paced environment with dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions. We are willing to relocate for this position.
