We are seeking an experienced Drywall Craftsman to join our team at G Star Homes Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings.

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure durability
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets while maintaining accurate measurements
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists according to industry standards
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry before applying additional layers
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound for a seamless finish
• Estimate costs and materials required for each project to ensure efficient resource allocation
• Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages as needed, adhering to safety protocols
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to facilitate safe access

• Bachelor's degree not required; secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant experience
• At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
• Commercial and residential experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• $45,000 - $55,000 per year salary range based on experience
• 30 to 40 hours of work per week
• Permanent full-time position
• English language proficiency required
