Job Description

The Dispensing Assistant Professional will provide critical support to pharmacists in dispensary and pharmacy services. This role will work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to achieve company objectives and adhere to relevant standards and regulations.

Main Duties:
  • Perform dispensing operations efficiently.
  • Process prescription refill requests and verbal prescriptions accurately.
  • Manage patient profiles and records effectively.
  • Communicate with prescribers as needed.
  • Handle phone calls and voicemails professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Respond to emails promptly.
  • Verify orders and products received.
  • Conduct inventory management and control tasks.
  • Reconcile invoices and maintain shrink logs.
  • Utilize wholesale websites for necessary functions.
  • Assist with dispensary paperwork as required.
  • Maintain store standards and cleanliness.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Completed a Pharmacy Assistant program.
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail pharmacy.
  • Proficiency in current PC systems, MS Office, and Kroll pharmacy software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback and improve continuously.
  • Independence and initiative in task completion.
