Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in our Interdisciplinary Team, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and Team Leader to deliver direct nursing care to residents. This position requires a high level of communication, teamwork, and adaptability to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, following established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN and Clinical Leader.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Recognized Pharmacology course and experience in medication administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a 24-hour shift rotation and adapt to changing circumstances.

Salary Range

In accordance with the Collective Agreement between Ocean View Manor and Ocean View Manor Local of the Nova Scotia Nurse's Union.
