Job Title: Truck Driver

Best N' Affordable Driving School Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck and transporting goods across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate a semi-trailer truck as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the truck, taking care to secure them properly.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the truck's tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and ensure the truck is always in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training.
  • Documentation: Accurate completion of accident or incident reports, driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, driving record check (abstract), and a clean drug test.
