Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mixology Specialist to join our team at Hearthstone Inn in Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our bar staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving cocktails, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
About the Role:
This is a permanent full-time position that offers 30-40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role and will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the bar area, including glassware and draft beer system
- Prepare and serve mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Train staff on mixology techniques and drink preparation
- Order bar stock and maintain inventory control
- Collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Client-focused with efficient interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Standing for extended periods
