Senior Consultant, Accounting Advisory Services

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join their Accounting Advisory Services team in Toronto. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert financial reporting and technical accounting services to clients across various industries and geographies.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality accounting advisory engagements under multiple accounting frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
- Stay up-to-date on evolving financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements, and develop accounting and business issues.
- Assist clients with financial reporting activities during periods of change, including acquisitions, divestitures, and transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, working papers, and liaise with clients' auditors.
- Develop fit-for-purpose solutions by understanding clients' preferences and business constraints.
- Collaborate with broader KPMG advisory teams to support process redesign and advising on business implications.
- Relevant post-secondary degree and CPA (or recognized equivalent national accounting designation).
- 3-5 years' experience in Audit or Accounting Advisory.
- Ambition to learn new things and analyze, research, and solve complex accounting issues.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Versatility and adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
