About the Job

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Caregiver to join our team at THD Caregiving. As a Home Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to children in a live-in setting.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be required to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and provide emotional support to the children.

In addition, you will be responsible for taking the children to and from school and appointments, supervising and caring for them, organizing activities such as games and outings, maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home, and keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding the children.

You will also be expected to instruct the children in personal hygiene and social development, discipline them according to the methods requested by the parents, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working with children, preferably in a caregiving or educational setting. A college certificate or diploma is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shopping for food and household supplies
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals
  • Providing emotional support to the children
  • Taking the children to and from school and appointments
  • Supervising and caring for the children

  • Disciplining the children according to the methods requested by the parents

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $45,000 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek. Additional benefits include free parking, on-site amenities, and on-site housing options.
