Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Fitter to join our team at Formedge Inc. As a Machine Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and move and align subassemblies and components
  • Install major components such as gears, pumps, motors or hydraulic assemblies
  • Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Physically demanding work environment with handling of heavy loads and standing for extended periods
