Job Summary

Resolute Forest Products is seeking a highly skilled Forest Analyst to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a Forest Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our forest management team in planning and reporting on Sustainable Forest License (SFL) areas managed by Resolute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced GIS analysis and modeling to inform forest management decisions
  • Develop and maintain forest estate models to optimize wood supply and forest management
  • Provide expertise in forest modeling tools, including ArcPro, ArcGIS, and Spatial Analyst
  • Prepare forest management plan documentation and conduct tactical optimization modeling
  • Review and update inventory products, and prepare model inputs and results
  • Stay up-to-date with Ontario's Forest Management Planning Manual and Forest Information Manual
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in forest management planning
  • Degree in Forestry
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt quickly to change
