Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the overall operation of the store. This includes developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage, and ensuring maximum sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability
  • Manage and develop a team of sales associates to provide excellent customer service
  • Control expenses and shrinkage to ensure maximum profitability
  • Ensure all aspects of merchandising and inventory control are in adherence with company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve store goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 18
  • Physical demands: in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Prior retail and/or management experience required
