Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Enhanced Care Program at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services to clients, promoting functional independence and occupational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client assessments, develop service plans, and provide individual and group interventions to support occupational performance and functional independence.
  • Collaborate with the care team, including clients, families, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies to enhance client participation and access to services.
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and healthcare staff on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and risk management activities, including policy development, evaluation, and monitoring.
  • Represent the program and service area on Fraser Health committees, contributing to policy development, program planning, and standards.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Two years' recent related experience working in a community setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid B.C. Class V Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of current developments in occupational therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychosocial approaches, and recovery practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to use activity analysis to assess occupational performance and modify the activity, environment, or supports to enable occupation.
  • Ability to utilize outcome measurement tools and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
Working Conditions

This position may require working at multiple locations within an assigned geographical area. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a community team setting and independently, with a strong focus on client-centered care and cultural safety.
