Mobile Crisis Team Clinician

About The Role
As a member of the Mobile Crisis Team, you will provide essential crisis intervention services to clients, families, and caregivers within our community. Your role involves assessing situations, formulating recommendations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the well-being of individuals experiencing mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to crisis calls, conduct assessments, and provide immediate interventions in the community.
- Observe clients to identify underlying causes of crises and deliver on-site interventions, including mental health assessments, risk evaluations, safety plans, and follow-up strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, ensuring clear and concise reports detailing crisis situations, assessments, and implemented plans.
- Connect clients and caregivers with appropriate resources and advocate for their needs.
- Engage families in the resolution process whenever possible.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, providing support and acting as a consultant.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality while adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Provide triage and referral services to clients in need.
- Consult with external agencies such as Children's Mental Health, Child and Family Services, schools, probation, and police services.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff members to enhance their skills in implementing treatment plans.
- Work closely with Youth Crisis Stabilization System staff and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
- Represent the Youth Crisis Stabilization System program both internally and externally.
- Maintain open communication within the agency and fulfill assigned administrative duties.
- Engage in ongoing clinical/professional development through reading, attending workshops, and participating in peer and clinical consultations.
