We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Enbridge in Fort McMurray. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment efficiently in good operational order and working to minimize throughput losses within our pipeline facilities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified trades-person capable of performing major maintenance and repair functions within the mechanical trade. They will be able to perform the installation and repair of complex equipment and demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
  • Install and repair complex equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Provide recommendations for performance improvements
  • Work independently on standard assignments and assist with more complex tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent and Journeyperson Mechanical or Millwright with interprovincial certification
  • Minimum 3 years related industrial experience
  • Class 5 drivers' license in good standing
  • Good interpersonal, communications and interactive people skills
  • Understanding of technical drawings and analytical skills for problem analysis

Working Conditions:

  • Based out of Athabasca Terminal in the Fort McMurray area
  • Shift work, on a 7 on/7 off shift (12-hour shifts) days. Night shifts on an on-call basis
  • Mix of field (~80%) and office (~20%) environments
  • Work in hazardous or restricted locations such as pump buildings, confined spaces, tank lots, and other classified areas within facilities and along the Right of Way
