We're redefining football with EA SPORTS FC, a genre-leading ecosystem of interactive experiences that brings a global community of football fans closer to The World's Game.

The Software Development Engineer will play a key role in building networked gameplay experiences for our EA SPORTS UFC franchise. We're looking for engineers who enjoy prototyping and planning, adding amazing new features to an existing and beloved game, and improving existing code.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Implement server features and components using EA's Digital Platform technologies.
  • Create client code to support features and improve multiplayer experiences.
  • Improve client and server online systems to enhance latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.
  • Design and improve architecture and infrastructure for live systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to stand up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.

Your Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development with a C++ focus.
  • 1+ years of experience using microservices with REST or GRPC.
  • 1+ years of experience developing in and debugging multi-threaded/concurrent architectures.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. MySQL, SQL).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
