About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join our team at Best Buy Canada. As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a key role in shaping our strategic technology vision and driving business growth through innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and collaborate with technology teams, business teams, and technical leaders to design and implement system architecture, reference architecture, integration patterns, and technology selection.
  2. Strategic Roadmapping: Deliver strategic and forward-looking enterprise IT application roadmaps for customer journey and corporate experience, focused on business and technology capabilities.
  3. Solution Design: Ensure solution design is aligned with the target domain architecture, leveraging cloud, people, ownership, automation, and data pillars.
  4. Integrated IT Solutions: Partner with technology teams to design integrated IT solutions, including the build vs. buy decision, that align with the technology strategy and adhere to established IT technology standards.
  5. Transformative Change: Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Digital Experience leaders to drive transformative change and meet strategic outcomes.
  6. Architecture Consulting: Provide architecture consulting to delivery teams for business and technical projects.
  7. Event-Driven Architecture: Leverage event-driven architecture enabling integrations to SaaS and on-premise solutions using Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Java, React, AMQP-based messaging, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
Requirements
  1. Enterprise Architecture Experience: 5+ years of hands-on consumer-facing enterprise architecture experience.
  2. Team-Based Software Development: Experience in team-based software development and delivery projects.
  3. Marketing Tech Platforms: Experience with one of the enterprise marketing tech platforms, such as Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Marketing tools, or Twilio.
  4. Marketing Technologies: Deep understanding of various marketing technologies, including marketing automation platforms, Advertising tech, CDP, and analytics tools.
  5. Customer Journey Orchestration: Experience with customer journey orchestration tools for personalized customer experiences.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with multiple people across the organization.
  7. Technical Application Development: Strong understanding of technical application development with hands-on experience of SQL databases, Java, and microservices architecture.
  8. Retail and Ecommerce Domains: Have an understanding of retail and ecommerce domains.
  9. Agile Enterprise Architecture: Experience working within an agile enterprise architecture environment.
  10. Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or related discipline/experience.
