Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean and prepare meats to ensure they are safe for consumption.
- Cut and Trim Meats: Cut and trim meats to the correct specifications.
- Wrap and Package Meats: Wrap and package meats for sale.
- Remove Bones and Weigh Meats: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale.
- Cut Poultry and Price Meat Products: Cut poultry into parts and price meat products.
- Sell Meats to Customers: Sell meats to customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Grind Meats and Prepare Displays: Grind meats and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a butcher shop or similar environment.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to odors.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work Setting: Butcher shop and supermarket/grocery store environment.
- Hours of Work: 30 to 45 hours per week.
