Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal procurement of products to meet our business needs. This is a 18-month contract position based in Baie D'Urfé, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Utilize our ERP system to optimize procurement and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Place all orders and enter relevant data for each order.
  • Ensure reordering of products based on storage capacity, rotation, and reception capabilities.
  • Establish priorities for receipt and removal of raw materials and packaged goods to ensure availability for manufacturing and packaging.
  • Make necessary adjustments to the procurement plan based on changes to the production plan.
  • Generate and analyze various performance indicators related to the procurement process.
  • Monitor and achieve fixed service rates, stock levels, rotation, and supplier performance targets.
  • Identify areas for improvement to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve objectives: Influence/Recommend: Ensure procurement expertise; Communicate (delay, risk, decision...); Escalate as needed.
  • Mobilize and involve other departments to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee the follow-up of actions and action plans.
  • Manage supplier performance based on service level, delivery time, and compliance.
  • Perform and control the follow-up of orders directly with suppliers.
  • In a critical situation, identify materials and closely monitor them to ensure availability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management and Logistics or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the same field or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MRP systems.
  • Understanding of the procurement process.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
