Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced On-Site Support Manager to join our team at Safran Seats. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing overall field service operations at assigned airframer facilities to ensure employee safety, product quality, customer requirements, and operational budget are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure seamless delivery of Safran Seats through airframer systems to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
  2. Oversee compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards at airframer facilities.
  3. Lead the FOD program at airframer sites for the On-Site Support team, including monitoring and control of technicians' controlled tools.
  4. Manage replacement order processes for defective or airframer-damaged components.
  5. Maintain visibility of delivered products to ensure product quality, customer requirements, and cost.
  6. Develop and monitor quality programs to minimize repetitive mistakes and rework.
  7. Maximize manpower, equipment, and facility utilization.
  8. Review overhead costs, product quality, and inventory to ensure customer service centers operate within established budgets.
  9. Supervise up to 20 employees at airframer sites, including additional support requests from 3rd-party subcontractors.
  10. Responsible for continuously improving technicians' skills and competence to ensure the team is up-to-date with all upcoming technologies and systems.
  11. Monitor, allocate resources, and activities to ensure Head of Version programs are assessed for risk with mitigation plans in place for each identified risk area prior to delivery to airframer sites.
  12. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
  13. Maintain an effective safety program to prevent injuries and lost time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-8 years of related experience required, with 2 years in the aircraft industry.
  • 2-4 years of prior supervisor/manager experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial aircraft seating products, including repair systems, operations, methods, procedures, and related FAA requirements.
  • Excellent influential and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and team-building skills to work with specific needs and requirements of airframers.
  • Comfortable managing multiple demands from internal and external customers simultaneously and driving efficient solutions.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to follow up requests and manage escalation and de-escalation with a high level of reactivity.
  • PowerBI knowledge desirable.
  • Leading or contributing to Continuous Improvement projects.
Work Environment

Approximately 2-4 weeks per year internationally & domestically.
