Lead Equities Researcher

About the Role:

Metrobank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Equities Researcher to join our Trust Banking Group. As the Head of Equities Research, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on equity markets and developing investment insights that inform our equity portfolio strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct sector-specific and company-specific research to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to provide market insights and recommendations.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and contribute to the development of investment strategies.
  4. Stay up-to-date with market trends and regulatory changes to ensure our research is accurate and relevant.
  5. Manage and mentor a team of research analysts to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Requirements:

  1. At least five years of experience in equity research and financial analysis, with a strong understanding of technical analysis.
  2. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to write and present complex investment ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  3. Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
