Perfusion Specialist Opportunity

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Perfusion Specialist to join our team in Medical Imaging. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in the direct application of extracorporeal perfusion techniques.
  • Manage myocardial perfusion and protection techniques, including cardioplegia delivery systems, topical cooling pads, and myocardial ischemia monitors.
  • Administer blood products, drugs, anaesthesia vapours, crystalloid solutions, and medical gases as directed by Cardiac Anaesthetists and surgeons.
  • Participate in perfusion science and related medical research projects.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized program in Perfusion Science.
  • Two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
