We are seeking a professional advisor to join our team as a Health and Safety Advisor.

Role Overview

This is a full-time hybrid role located in Halifax, NS, with some work from home flexibility.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies
  • Conducting risk assessments and investigating accidents
  • Providing safety training and promoting a safe working environment
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills
  • Experience in Occupational Health practices and regulations
  • Proficiency in conducting Accident Investigations
  • Skills in delivering effective Safety Training programs
  • Strong knowledge of local and federal safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Education in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field
  • Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent are a plus
