Cloud Operations Automation Specialist

CAE is a leading provider of training solutions for the aviation industry, and we're looking for a skilled Cloud Operations Automation Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Operations Automation Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our architecture team, application team, and infrastructure team to design and implement cloud automation initiatives
  • Build automation pipelines for various scenarios, from simple application servers to complex multi-resource cloud deployments
  • Participate in application modernization roadmaps and initiatives by building the right infrastructure and supporting application teams
  • Be comfortable with both on-premise VMware environments and cloud Azure environments
  • Measure and optimize the effectiveness of automation pipelines
  • Build monitoring templates, dashboards, and workbooks
  • Deploy monitoring agents to various destination servers
  • Build automation for the cloud and on-premise (Azure/VMWARE)
  • Collaborate with our pipeline deployment environment with peer review practices and source-controlled code
  • Leverage Azure DevOps to build automation pipelines
  • Work remotely with no on-site requirement

Requirements

  • Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a continuous learner and a self-starter
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work
  • Collaborate with our pipeline deployment environment with peer review practices and source-controlled code
  • Technical degree (BAC/DEC) in a technology discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in deploying, patching, managing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft/Linux Server environments, both virtual (VMware) and physical
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) pipeline and DevOps practices
  • Proficiency with Terraform
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud
  • Proficiency with Monitoring Tools & Monitoring Templates
  • Controlled Goods and elevated security clearances may be a requirement
