Commercial Legal Advisor

Waabi, a pioneering AI company, is seeking a seasoned Commercial Legal Advisor to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's legal framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support legal contract negotiations on various transactions, including master supply agreements, service agreements, license agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Develop and maintain contract templates to streamline the contracting process.
- Collaborate closely with Waabi's global supply chain team to establish contract databases and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory compliance and assist with day-to-day compliance management.
- Manage day-to-day insurance matters and draft business policies.
- Juris Doctor degree and qualified to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with California, New York, or Texas preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in commercial contracting at an automotive company, fast-paced hardware technology company, or in private practice (business law).
- Demonstrated experience tackling complex issues in hardware and part supply contracts.
- Solid understanding of balancing contractual risk with sustainable contracting provisions based on company stage.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities under time pressure, rapidly develop relationships, and identify key issues impacting Waabi's business.
- Dynamic problem-solving skills and great business judgment when provided with incomplete information.
- Open-minded and collaborative team player with a willingness to help others.
- Demonstrated willingness to adapt and grow into new areas.
- Meticulous attention to detail and passion for contracts.
- Experience working in automotive, autonomy, or hardware-focused technology companies.
The US yearly salary range for this role is: $122,000 - $226,000 USD, in addition to competitive perks and benefits. Waabi's compensation practices are based on several factors, and the salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations.
The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
