Job Description

As a Commodity Buyer at Safran Landing Systems, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated portfolio of machinists suppliers located within North America. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, from sourcing to contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Develop and implement cost reduction plans with suppliers to improve profitability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain risks
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or business administration
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
