Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a challenging role in a dynamic industry? As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) at United Rentals, you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of heavy equipment and tools, performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 1-2 years of experience repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment, or trade school graduate
  • Must own necessary tools and have a basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This is a safety-sensitive position, and all employees are expected to adhere to United Rentals' safety policies and procedures.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $27.50 - $39.55 per hour, as well as opportunities for career development and advancement.
