The primary responsibility of an Automotive Vehicle Condition Assessor is to conduct comprehensive inspections of assigned vehicles and generate a Condition Report (CR) that accurately reflects the vehicle's condition. This position requires a willingness to travel, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers. May perform other job-related activities as needed to support the business.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections at various locations including dealerships, physical auctions, and off-site locations.
  • Identify, assess, and document structural damage, frame condition, previous paintwork, alignment of body panels, detect missing parts, and mechanical problems.
  • Utilize training and industry best practices while adhering to management-provided work instructions and procedures regarding inspections and documentation.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers through regular interaction to ensure we meet/exceed their expectations.
  • Ensure high accuracy to minimize arbitrations.
  • Follow safety and health procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Be at least 21 years old with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Possess problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of web-based applications and automotive inspection tools is a plus.
