Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Dispatcher to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments.
- Manage inbound shipment ETAs to maximize efficiency and meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with the operations team to determine equipment requirements and schedules.
- Develop efficient routing patterns to meet required schedules.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate with drivers to ensure they are operating safely and effectively.
- Coordinate team member and resource allocation for daily pick-up and delivery of freight.
- Ensure the most efficient and effective resource is dispatched to meet customer service schedules.
- Provide regular communication with drivers to keep apprised of their locations.
- Collect, audit, track, and file internal paperwork from drivers.
- Keep in communication with the dock and central line haul dispatch regarding shipments that will be arriving late or not according to schedule.
- Provide a daily exceptions report to Supervisor, Dispatch.
- Recommend continuous improvement efforts and identify cost-saving and growth initiatives.
- Answer inbound phone calls relating to line haul delays, driver check-in, hours of service, and carrier check-ins.
- Provide vacation and sick coverage for dispatch functions.
- 2-3 years' experience working in an FTL & LTL transportation environment in a planning or dispatch role.
- Scheduling or customer service experience.
- Experience working with company drivers, owner operators, and third-party carriers.
- High School Diploma.
- Excellent customer service abilities with a natural desire to provide exceptional service and build strong relationships with drivers.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a team culture of excellence.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement and ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance results.
- Approachable, positive demeanor with a hands-on and team-oriented work style.
- Knowledge of the logistics, supply chain, and/or transportation industry preferred.
- Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
- Takes initiative, is proactive in their work, and results-oriented.
- Working knowledge of labor management, transportation, financial, and other key technologies.
