About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the provision of safe and effective patient care, working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include compounding medications, dispensing drugs, and participating in quality programs and patient safety initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong educational background in pharmacy technology, with licensure and registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Nova Scotia. Experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy practice assistant, preferably in a hospital setting, is also an asset.

  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Your knowledge of sterile technique, medical terminology, and inventory control will be valuable assets in this role.
  • You will also have basic typing skills and experience with computer/keyboard applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

A competitive salary range of $24.96-$27.89 per hour reflects your expertise and experience. In addition, you may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
