Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
  • Evaluate potential insourcing opportunities for specific commodities based on volume and challenges with external suppliers.
  • Evaluate suppliers for potential partnerships, mergers & acquisition.
  • Manage and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers and leading complex negotiation on contractual conditions of Purchase.
  • Prepare and launch Request for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and product specifications.
  • Review Parts & CRO business portfolio for future growth and work with relevant stakeholders to increase the business as per Alstom targets.
  • Manage proactively Obsolescence of supplier's solution and support management plan of it.
  • Identify potential savings and implement continuous cost reduction initiatives, process improvement and standardization.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure cost reductions while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing with minimum 5 years in the Rail Industry.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
