Job Opportunity: Assistant / Associate Professor in International Marketing

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a tenure-track or tenured Assistant / Associate Professor in Sustainable Bio-Products Marketing and Management at The University of British Columbia.

About the Role:

This faculty position involves teaching, research, and service responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to develop business plans, manage businesses, foster innovation, and conduct market research methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop primary and secondary business plans, including those with Indigenous partners;
  • Manage businesses, focusing on sustainability and circular business models;
  • Foster innovation through research and collaboration, including new product/market development;
  • Conduct marketing and market research methods, emphasizing international trade;
  • Collaborate with the Centre for Advanced Wood Processing (CAWP) and the UBC Bio-Products Institute;

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field;
  • A strong record of academic publications;
  • Experience in business plan development, management, and innovation;
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills;

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The University of British Columbia offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement plan.
