Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team at PenFinancial Credit Union. As a key member of our technology department, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and analysis of our information systems, ensuring optimal performance and security of our environment.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership
- Manage a team of IT professionals, including recruitment, development, coaching, recognition, and performance management.
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders to ensure a high-performing environment that continuously delivers and enhances service experience for members and staff.
- Support the development and implementation of service standards following industry frameworks such as ITIL.
- Build and maintain a secure environment by incorporating industry frameworks such as CIS Top 18 and NIST.
- Manage budgets for IT and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- IT Support
- Provide expertise in designing and implementing the environment to ensure it meets current and future needs.
- Implement and maintain all technology services, including virtualization, SANs, servers, network (WAN/LAN), email, client end points, printers, applications, and all associated security.
- Lead the design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for existing and new services to ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Ensure the security and safety of all systems and data, monitoring system performance and security, and implementing appropriate controls to ensure the safety and availability of all systems, services, and data.
- Provide reporting and scorecards to executive management outlining the status of all systems and applications.
- Assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.
- Lead IT audits and work with auditors to implement remediation steps as required.
- Work with all areas of the business to identify technology needs and process improvement opportunities.
- Work with 3rd party service providers to ensure system uptime, performance, and stability.
- Understand regulatory requirements and ensure internal frameworks adhere to requirements.
- Perform other assigned responsibilities.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, computer science, or equivalent, coupled with relevant experience in a senior infrastructure role.
- 3-5 years of IT management experience.
- 10+ years working in a senior IT infrastructure role.
- 10+ years of security experience focusing on frameworks, audits, and implementing controls in a data-sensitive environment.
- Extensive experience with the implementation of advanced infrastructure technologies.
- Ability to lead projects and work cohesively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with banking systems is an asset.
- IT certifications related to VMWare, Exchange, Windows Server, cloud are an asset.
- Security-related certifications are an asset.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends.
