Strategic Education and Outreach Coordinator

As a Strategic Education and Outreach Coordinator, you will work closely with internal and external partners to identify focused needs and program synergies. Your expertise will be utilized to evaluate industry best practices for education and outreach and incorporate results into relevant program initiatives.

This role offers a range of responsibilities including providing specialized guidance and advice in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new Education and Outreach initiatives. You will also compile, analyze, and monitor data to assess the performance and effectiveness of education and outreach programs and make programming recommendations.

In addition, you will conduct research, edit, and write audience-appropriate content. Your strong communication skills will enable you to provide training and guidance to co-op students to assist with program development and implementation.

You will also participate in community outreach and special events such as fairs, home shows, and the Peel Children's Water Festival. Furthermore, you will represent the Region on various internal and external committees and work with Communication Services to co-ordinate the design and creation of Education and Outreach related resources and materials.

We are looking for an individual with a university degree or technical diploma with relevant studies in science, environment, engineering, or a related field, combined with at least three years of relevant experience. Knowledge of water, wastewater, waste management, and transportation programs is essential, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.

A valid G Class driver's license is also required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as automatic enrollment into the OMERS pension plan. You will accrue vacation time and have access to paid personal days and floating holidays.
