We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Equipment Professional to join our team at North Frontenac Telephone Haliburton Corp. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications equipment.

About the Job

This is a permanent full-time position that involves working in confined spaces and requires efficient interpersonal skills, organization, and teamwork. You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve issues with our telecommunications equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Cable Signals and Associated Equipment: Ensure the integrity of our cable signals and associated equipment by inspecting and testing them regularly.
  • Diagnose and Locate Equipment Faults: Identify and diagnose faults in our telecommunications equipment and locate their source.
  • Install, Arrange, Remove and Maintain Telecommunications Equipment: Install, arrange, remove and maintain our telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Analyze Test Results and Adjust or Repair Equipment: Analyze test results and adjust or repair our telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Complete and Maintain Test and Service Reports: Document your work by completing and maintaining test and service reports.
  • Determine Nature, Cause and Location of Trouble: Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble with our telecommunications equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and team player.
