About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our team at Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, align, dismantle, and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Test and provide feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues with hydraulic systems.
  • Follow safe work policies and procedures.
  • Perform general facility maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2nd year Millwright apprentice.
  • Previous experience in flour mill operations, including bucket elevators, conveyors, rotary valves, compressors, blowers, fans, grinders, electric motors, gearboxes, and filtration equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Experience in fabricating and welding.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Available to support all production departments when on-call on weekends.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer maintenance management system (CMMS) experience.
  • Forklift/Crane training.
  • Previous experience with rigging and lifting of equipment.
