Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Schlegel Villages Inc. as a Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care.

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in a nursing home setting. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for working with seniors.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health status to the nursing team
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Administer first aid and provide basic life support as needed
  • Document resident care and progress in accordance with company policies
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably in a nursing home
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
