About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PR Pomeroy Restoration & Construction (BC) Inc. as a Restoration & Construction Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and restoration of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and install building components such as floors, walls, and roofs, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials, using hand tools and power equipment.
  • Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
  • Maintain and repair existing structures, including residences, wooden structures, and other establishments, using a combination of traditional and modern techniques.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and safe working practices, and to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights and in dusty environments.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hand tools, power equipment, and safety gear.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
